Items
Name, email, nationality, travel dates, party size, neighborhoods, interests, your message. Optional: profile link, WhatsApp/phone.
Purpose
Matching you with a local, coordinating the meetup, safety and abuse prevention, service notices about your request.
Retention
Requests that are never accepted: 90 days. Accepted meetups: 1 year after the meetup. Then deleted.
Refusal
You may refuse. If you do, we cannot process your request.

Recipient
The ID-verified Seoul local who receives your request (one at a time; if they cannot make it, the next local in the same neighborhood).
Items
Name, nationality, travel dates, party size, interests, message, profile link (if given). After they accept: your email and WhatsApp/phone (if given).
Purpose
Deciding whether to meet you and coordinating the meetup.
Retention
By the local: until the meetup is complete. Locals are bound by our Safety & Community Rules and may not keep, share, or reuse your details.
Refusal
You may refuse, but matching is then impossible.

You acknowledge
local/seoul is a social matching platform, not a travel agency. It does not sell, arrange, or guide tours, and your local is not a guide.
Safety
First meetings happen in public places, in daytime or early evening. No money changes hands and no solicitation of any kind.

What
Confirmation of your request, your local's acceptance or decline, re-routing to another local, schedule changes, and gift delivery.
Channel
Email; SMS or WhatsApp only if you gave a number. These are transactional notices, not marketing.
Refusal
You may refuse, but then we cannot tell you when a local accepts, so we cannot process your request.

What
New neighborhoods and locals, program news. A few emails a year at most, from local/seoul (Kohwoon & Company Co., Ltd.).
Retention
Until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent. We re-confirm your consent every 2 years as Korean law requires.
Refusal
Optional. Refusing has no effect on your request. Unsubscribe any time via the link in each email or [email protected].

Your local has 72 hours to accept. Your email and WhatsApp/phone are shared with them only after they say yes.
